A new musical based on the movie of the same name by Pedro Almodóvar. Directed by Tony Award Winner Bartlett Sher with a book by Jeffrey Lane and music and lyrics by David Yazbek.
Original imagery designed by Sven is integrated tightly into the narrative, lighting, sound and set design. Specifically projected imagery is used to complement Michael Yeargan's quickly moving set and its 40 scene changes. Other elements include a fictional 1980s gazpacho commercial, a news report, and backgrounds to a movie.
